This Privacy Notice for unglazed (“we,” “us,” or “our”) describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”), including when you:

What personal information do we process? Almost none. Natural Korean has no accounts and no sign-up. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, or Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA).
What happens when I type? Nothing leaves your device. Typing Korean (두벌식) and English works fully offline and does not require Full Access.
What happens when I tap Check or Translate? Only then, and only with Full Access turned on, the text of the field you’re editing — or, if you’ve selected text, just that selection, up to 1,500 characters — goes over an encrypted connection straight to Google’s Gemini API. We operate no server, and we do not receive, log, or store that text. Google processes the request under its own API terms (Google APIs Terms of Service and the Gemini API Additional Terms). The result appears in the keyboard and is only written into your text field if you tap Accept (Check) or Apply (Translate) — nothing is changed automatically. Do not enter passwords, financial details, or other sensitive personal information into Check or Translate.
What is Full Access for? iOS shows its own warning before you can turn Full Access on, and we use it for exactly one thing: letting Check and Translate make a network request to Google’s Gemini API. We do not use it to read other apps, to read anything beyond the current text field’s context that iOS gives to keyboards, to log your keystrokes, or to build a history.
Do you keep any history? No. There is no check history, no translation history, and no accounts.
Do you use cookies or have a website? No. There is no website version — Natural Korean is an iOS keyboard extension and a small companion app only.
Do we use analytics, tracking, or ads? No. No analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no Apple advertising identifier (IDFA). We never sell or share your information.
Do we collect any information from third parties? No.
What do you store on my device? Only your goal — the politeness and context you set for Translate — and your toolbar padding preference, stored locally in the keyboard extension’s own storage. Neither is ever sent to us or anyone else.
Text you submit for Check or Translate. When you tap Check or Translate — both require Full Access and a network connection — the text of the field you’re editing (or, if you’ve selected text, just that selection), up to 1,500 characters, is sent over an encrypted connection directly from your device to Google’s Gemini API solely to produce the grammar check or translation shown to you. We operate no server: we neither receive, log, nor store that text. The result appears in the keyboard and is only written into your text field if you tap Accept or Apply.
Full Access. We use Full Access for exactly one purpose: making the network request to Google’s Gemini API when you tap Check or Translate. We do not use it to read other apps, to read text beyond the current field’s context that iOS exposes to keyboards, to log your keystrokes, or to build a history. Ordinary typing — Korean (두벌식) and English — works fully offline and never requires Full Access.
On-device data. The keyboard stores two things locally, in its own storage on your device: your chosen goal (the politeness and context you set for Translate) and your toolbar padding preference. Neither is ever sent to us or to anyone else.
We do not process any other personal information. There are no accounts, no history, and no analytics.
We process the text you submit only to provide the core function of the keyboard — checking Korean grammar or translating English into Korean — at your explicit request each time you tap Check or Translate. We do not use it for any other purpose.
The only third party that receives the text you submit is Google LLC (Gemini API), strictly to generate the check or translation result. We do not sell, rent, or trade any information. We have no advertising partners, no data brokers, and no analytics providers.
We keep none of your content: we operate no server that stores it. Your on-device goal and toolbar padding preferences are retained until you change them or delete the app and keyboard. Google’s transient processing of Gemini API requests is governed by Google’s terms linked above.
All network requests made by Check and Translate use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We store nothing on our servers — we operate none.
Depending on your region (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, and portability. Because we hold so little, most requests can be satisfied by you alone: deleting the app and keyboard removes the goal and toolbar padding preferences stored on your device. For anything else, contact us at jjw3435@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. Neither the app nor the keyboard asks for an account, a name, or any contact details.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app or on this page.
